It was an exciting day when this graceful ship was
placed in deep water to begin her life as one of the largest diving
wrecks on the Pacific Coast.
The Artificial Reef Society of BC, along with many Sunshine Coast
locals, attended the sinking of The Chaud that day in December
1992.

Sunk to a depth of 55-140 feet, The Chaudiere is a retired
destroyer now making her mark as an artificial reef. The 366 foot
Chaud is home to a wide variety of sea life and provides
recreational and advanced divers with an opportunity to explore
a diverse underwater environment.
If you are into discovery, this is the dive for you!
