To our Valued Guests and Friends,
We are happy and sad to announce that Tranquility
Bay has been sold and the bed and breakfast will become
a private residence as of October 2007.
Thus ends one chapter and begins another But
before we go, we have gone into the archives and put together a
slide show of Tranquility Bay memories from the last 10 years. We
hope you like it…and we wish you and your family all the
best in the coming years.
We are happy to welcome you to our
new waterfront location - The
Tuwanek Hotel Luxury Boutique Bed and Breakfast which opened in 2006. Come visit us at
our 5 Star Waterfront Destination with luxury theme suites, in
room wood burning fireplaces. Relax in the Outdoor Spa Therapy Tub, enjoy the amenities of the Club room
with pool table, movie theater and oh yes…. Krista’s
Famous Breakfasts.
We will still be operating the
Treehouse Cottage and Creekside
Log Cabin which are great for families and group getaways.

Tranquility Bay opened in 1997 and we have been
fortunate over the last 10 years to be able to raise our family
in such a special place. Our Sunshine Coast bed and breakfast has
been host to guests from all over the world many whom have become
great friends and some like family.
Since we opened in 1997 we have enjoyed 13,218
guests and Chris, Krista and her team have prepared more than twenty
thousand breakfasts.
Thank you to all of you, our valued guests who
have made our business so successful and yet so much fun. We would
also like to thank our staff over the years, Nancy, Kellie, Kristel,
Tari, Danielle and Karen as we could not have done it without you.

Luxurious Cottages and
Cabin Rental Accommodations
Tranquility Bay offers a perfect location to hold that family gathering you've always talked about. We offer a full range of facilities from luxury bed and breakfast to private cottages with room service. Our luxury cottages and cabin rentals with hot tubs will meet all your needs for the perfect Sunshine Coast Getaway! If you need more space ask us about our family cabins located on the waterfront.
The
beautiful Main Lodge offers a luxurious 900 square foot private
suite that will keep you in the greatest of comfort. The suite including
games room, slate pool table, air hockey, home theatre and spa room are for
the private use of only the guests in the Sunset Suite.
Situated
by the main lodge, the Knotty Pine is a one bedroom cabin that features a cozy sitting
area, eating nook and a wood burning fireplace. The bedroom is complete
with a double size bed and ensuite with shower and vanity.
We have a multitude of activities to suit everyone in your group - relax on the beach, enjoy the hot tub under the stars, swim, hike, bike, bird watch and stargaze to your heart's content.
Tranquility Bay is open year round so don't forget to look us up in the winter when you plan for the Christmas holidays as we have activities for all seasons. Tranquility Bay bed and breakfast is the perfect Sunshine Coast Getaway!

We offer diving charters in crystal clear water. Some of the best recreational scuba diving in the world can be experienced at Tranquility Bay.
Kayaking the Sunshine Coast
From drift diving in gentle, sweeping currents to explorations of the local artificial reefs, Tranquility Bay offers diving fun for the beginner and adventurous alike. Like to travel on the water's surface? Head out from Tranquility Bay and tour the ocean by kayak for three hours to seven days.
Paddle the awe inspiring Tzoonie Narrows Inlet full circle back to Tranquility Bay. Stunning scenery, natural wildlife and ancient native rock paintings provide an experience to remember. Travelling by sea kayak is a very popular way to explore the Sunshine Coast.
Scenic Boat Charters
At Tranquility Bay we offer private and personalized boat charters year round. After a leisurely gourmet breakfast, your adventure begins just steps away from your suite down at our private dock.
You will hop aboard our 27 foot Bayliner with comfortable chairs on deck and a cozy cabin. Spend your day on the magnificent waters of Sechelt Inlet, while listening to relaxing music and enjoying on board refreshments and snacks. See the seals at Seal rock and watch the float planes take off overhead. We offer personalized tours ranging from 2 hours -scenic inlet tour, 3 hours scenic inlet tour with lunch and 5 hour Tzonnie Narrows tour with BBQ.
Hiking and Biking
If your feet are firmly planted on the ground, check our hiking and cycling activities. With mountain trails for hikers and mountain bikers and paved roads for road cyclists, there is always somewhere new to explore on this terra firma.
