We'll try to make it as easy a possible for you.

Our Cancellation Policy is:

• The official stuff...

  • • A non refundable deposit of one nights room rate or 25 % of suite/cottage nights reserved (whichever is greater) is processed at the time the booking is made to guarantee your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival and is charged to your credit card at that time. Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of the deposit and a copy of your booking folio will be emailed to you for your files. We will honor your reservation by not offering your Dates / Suite / Cottage to anyone else.
      Please note: When booking a packages getaway the deposit is based on the room nights and not the package value.
      
    • Our Cancellation Policy is 14 days for Bed and Breakfast and 30 days for Cottages, so please be sure to call within that time period or send us an email if you are not able to keep your reservation. We will confirm your cancellation with a written email for your files along with your confirmation number. If you cancel with less than 14 days for Bed and Breakfast and 30 days for Cottages, we reserve the right to fully charge for all nights for which we are unable to secure a replacement booking. We will issue a full refund, less the non refundable deposit fee provided we are able to rent the Suite / Cottage to another guest for the entire reserved period. Please note the cancellation policy also applies to reservations booked with Gift Certificates. ''No Shows'' and unscheduled early departures are subject to full payment for all nights reserved.
      
    • In order to be fair to our practitioners all Spa treatments, booked either a la carte or in a package, must be cancelled with 48 hours notice or a cancellation fee will apply.
      
    • Since our reservation and cancellation policies must be more restrictive than a large hotel, we recommend you consider traveler's insurance to protect your vacation. A cancellation is very disappointing to both the guests who have decided to cancel and the owners of Tranquility Bay. In most instances, we will have turned away other guests who would have reserved the suite/ cottage for your dates.

Tips and Gratuities:

It is a tradition in the hospitality business that part of the employees benefit package is based on gratuities. Although gratuities are reflected in our rates at Tranquility Bay, we are very confident that all of our staff will do everything possible to make your stay at Tranquility Bay the best experience ever or you, your family and friends.
If you feel the service and hospitality that our staff has extended merits a gratuity, please feel free to include it when you check out and we will ensure they receive it.

It is our policy to include a 10% gratuity on the value of the room accommodation for all group bookings and or central group billing.

Pets:

Travel with your best friend? We understand that: Lexie is a major part of our family. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets in our cabins due to a new District of Sechelt Bylaw that prohibits pets in all tourist accommodations. We have arranged with a local pet-friendly kennel to house your pet in a safe and happy environment.

That way you get the best of both worlds: You can pick up your pet to go hiking and exploring and then rest assured that your pet is safe and cared-for while you are out for an evening of fine dining or on a dive or kayak expedition.

We want everyone to be relaxed and happy during their stay at Tranquility Bay and that includes our two, and four, legged guests.

Communications, Email, Internet Access:

Stay in touch with family and friends. We can provide you with all the conveniences of home,
and, even on vacation, you may need to check-in with your office.

Based on your requests the Sunset Sweet, Ocean View Suite, Knotty Pine Cottage and Creekside Cottage are now equipped with Complimentary High Speed Wireless Internet complete with 128 bit encryption. This new wireless high speed service will let you stay in touch on your laptop or ours. We also offer other services such as faxing, computer laptops complete with Microsoft Office 2007, photocopying and, of course, telephones.

If you need to have a meeting with a client while on the coast we now have a fully functional boardroom for four people with board table, screen, computer video projector and secure computer terminals.
